Remove AV Protection Online

AV Protection Online is another new addition to the Rogue.Win-AVPro family.  This new infection is an exact match to Cloud Protection, but with a different name.  The difficult part of this infection is the bundling in of rootkits along with it’s other related fake antivirus definitions.  It’s blocking capabilities of legitimate removal software and graphical interface have also been upgraded.  Our research team has classified this infection as Rogue Anti-Spyware / Rogue Anti-Malware.

What is AV Protection Online

AV Protection Online shows fake scan results on your computer screen to trick you into believing your computer is infected.  Its number one goal is to dupe customers into purchasing their fake software.  Do not purchase it or attempt to purchase it as it can also steal your credit card information and other personal information.  If you did purchase this rogue infection, please call your credit card company immediately to notify them of the fraudulent order.

AV Protection Online will try to perform a security check on its own and show self made or fake scan results on your computer. It will show certain infections as harmful threats and you will not be able to remove them unless you purchase this fake antivirus. You need to understand that these results will popup no matter how clean your computer is.

AV Protection Online is an intelligently designed rogue and it configures Windows to use it’s own Proxy Servers. You may find your most trusted sites marked as malicious or potentially harmful and you may see security alerts on those web pages.  Again, these are fake or unwarranted warnings being pushed by AV Protection Online.
